Colletti was the third of the chapel’s four international guest carillonneurs playing on Wednesdays in July at 7:30 p.m.. August will feature five hour-long free concerts by American artists, including two concerts by Douglas Gefvert, the chapel’s carillonneur. In addition, on Aug. 24, the Irish Thunder Pipes and Drums will also play.

The concerts have an enthusiastic following of people with lawn chairs or blankets as well as food, and even, sometimes perhaps, a bottle of wine. Hot dogs, hamburgers and other snacks are sold, there are CDs for sale, and the chapel is open for self-guided tours.

Toru Takao, from Himeji, Japan, will be carillonneur on July 27.
