Skull found in Radnor was not human

When news that a human skull has been discovered in an attic, it’s easy to let the imagination run wild.

An HVAC company was servicing the recently purchased Radnor Township home’s central air conditioner Thursday when the ghastly discovery came about.

Once the skull was found, any number of conclusions could have been drawn. The skull could have been a ghoulish war trophy, the remnants of an occult ceremony or the only piece of Jimmy Hoffa to ever be found.

After being turned over to the Delaware County Medical Examiner’s Office, the origins of the skull were determined Sunday.

“It was not human,” a representative from the Medical Examiner’s office said. “It was plaster.”

There goes all the juicy speculation.

No clues to a long cold case or the location of the house’s previous owner. In the end, this all just has the taste of a Scooby Doo cartoon.
