Car reported stolen in Bridgeport

BRIDGEPORT — A Bridgeport woman who lives in the 100 block of East Rambo Street reported Friday her car had been stolen overnight from the front of her house.

The vehicle, a blue 2000 Chevrolet Cavalier, had “Cape May” and “Greatful Dead” stickers in the back window, according to Bridgeport police.

The woman told police she last saw her car at about 8 p.m. Thursday night and may have left the vehicle unlocked. Her husband left inside the car his wallet that contained a spare car key.

The man’s wallet also had his driver’s license, an American Express credit card, a Bank of America debit card and $10 cash.

The vehicle was entered into the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) database, and police contacted county radio to be on the lookout for the vehicle.
